APEX THEATRE COMPANY
APEX THEATRE COMPANY
After a successful 2007-2008 season, Apex is going through some changes. Co-founder and co-artistic director Alan Paul has accepted a full-time resident director position at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C and Executive Director Stephanie Sherline is now working for Broadway in Chicago and creating a niche for herself in theatrical sound design and composing. Unfortunately, this means both have stepped down from their positions at Apex, leaving remaining co-founder of Apex, Josh Penzell, to run things. Josh has also received good news, as he soon will be attending University of Nevada-Las Vegas to pursue his MFA in Directing. Still committed to Apex, however, Josh will continue to serve as Artistic Director for Apex Theatre and use the upcoming 2008-2009 season to regroup and determine what is best for Apex’s future. Therefore, Apex Theatre Company will officially be on hiatus through the 2008-2009 season, hoping to resume operations the following year. Please check back for updates, and feel free to email us if you are so inclined.
